As we approach Don’t Eat Meat Week we want to remind ourselves about eating the fresh fruits and vegetables that are in abundant supply during these warm days of summer. Take time to try a new recipe or taste something different. Everyone’s palate is as different as the varieties of apples. Did you know there are 2,500 varieties of apples in the U.S. alone and 7,500 apple varieties throughout the world as according to the University of Illinois Extension. How do you like them apples?

My favorite veggie is Yucca you boil it, if fried it will be the best type of French fries EVER. Enjoy!
My favorite fruit is pineapple. Not only is pineapple rich in vitamins and minerals they help your body burn calories.

Mango, it gives me tropical vibes and tastes good. Eggplant and Okra because you can create delicious dishes like eggplant Parmesan, pizza, kebabs, lasagna and more.
Grapefruits are both sweet and bitter…yum! My favorite vegetable is corn.
Mango because of where I’m from, Kale because my body likes it and avocado because the nutrients in this food my body needs.
Favorite fruit is watermelon and grapes because they taste great and are juicy. Favorite vegetable is asparagus because it’s a very good source of fiber and vitamins A, C, E and K.
Favorite fruit is mango. Why? It reminds me of the Caribbean, sunshine, cool breeze and the Island life.
Mango, avocado, cherries, watermelon, carrots, really all vegetables. I love mangoes, I like how they taste, the color, the Caribbean fruits are all wonderful.
My favorite fruit are blueberries, these small little antioxidants are the best thing to pop in your mouth after a long hot day, filled with deliciousness. Favorite veggie would have to be Collard Greens, the earthiness of this veggie reminds me of my southern roots.
