Covid-19 Protocols

At The DC Dentist, Infection control has always been our top priority, and you may have noticed this during your visits. As your trusted holistic dentist on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, near Maryland and Virginia, we’ve designed our infection control protocols to ensure that your care is both safe and comfortable.

We follow the infection control recommendations of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We closely monitor these agencies for any updates or new regulations to ensure our practice aligns with the latest standards.

Cleaning and Sanitizing the Office

We clean all common surface areas from the front door to the back of the dental office. We have hand sanitizer for you to use once you’ve entered the office as well as in the treatment room. A member of our team will meet you, take your temperature, and escort you to the treatment room. 

In the treatment room, we will ask you to wash your hands at the sink and gargle with our herbal rinse. During your dental visit, the water that is used in your mouth for dental treatments is Ozonized water, which runs throughout our system. Ozonated water helps to kill all viruses and bacteria.

Social Distancing

To allow for social distancing, we ask that only patients or patients plus one family member or caregiver come to the appointment. We will do our best to schedule appointments with ample time between patients to reduce your waiting times and the number of people in our reception area.

Personal Protection

Upon entering our office you will notice we have installed a customized plexiglass shield at the front desk. All of our staff wear masks and we ask that you wear a face-covering wherever possible.
